Here’s some recommendations for anyone suffering from hip pain…
1) Exercise based treatments are best, increasing the load tolerance of the hip and trunk gradually.
2) Exercise based rehab should be continued for at least 3 months.
3) If surgery is required, Physiotherapy led rehabilitation should be undertaken.
4) Physical activity is beneficial and should be continued within limitations and tolerance. Training should include strength exercises, aerobic fitness and an increased tolerance to loads.
